DVLA Number Plates
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, or in short, DVLA, is a body which administers car registrations in the United Kingdom. It is issued and regulated by a government body. It was previously known as the DVLC. DVLA maintains a vast record of all licensed drivers in Britain along with that of all registered automobiles. They handle personalized registrations and DVLA number plates auctions. They have a section which describes their services, that is, contact information, forms and online services. These DVLA number plates also manage car taxes, registration certificates, sale and purchase of vehicles, Statutory off Road Notifications and MOTs as well as driving licenses, and other owner information.
A similar agency acts in Ireland which is known as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Northern Ireland or, DVLNI. The DVLA has its headquarters in Swansea, with branches and local offices all over UK. The DVLA Agency is quite clear and firm about their rules and regulations, and it is strongly recommended that all members make sure that compliant DVLA number plates are fixed to their vehicles. They impose penalties for DVLA number plates that fail to meet their regulations. These penalties include large amounts of fines, Ministry of Transport test failures, loss of entitlement to display the registration.
